Flooring Repairs

Fix It Right the First Time

Get a Free Estimate

Threshing Floors repairs hardwood, LVP, tile, and carpet across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, from warped or water-damaged boards to cracked tiles and loose carpet seams. Most repairs are completed in a single visit, with free in-home estimates.

Damaged floors do not always mean a full replacement. We find the root cause, fix the problem area, and blend it seamlessly with the rest of your floor so the repair disappears.

Flooring damage can come from anywhere: heavy furniture, water leaks, pet accidents, or just years of everyday wear. The key is addressing it early before small issues become bigger problems. Our team evaluates the damage, identifies the root cause, and makes targeted repairs that restore both the look and structural integrity of your floor.

We repair all flooring types including hardwood, LVP, tile, and carpet. From replacing individual boards and re-securing loose tiles to patching carpet and fixing transition strips, we bring the tools and expertise to handle it. Most repairs are completed in a single visit so you can get back to your routine quickly.

Repair the damage or replace the floor?

A repair is the right call when the damage is contained to a few boards, tiles, or a seam and the surrounding floor is sound, which is most of what we see after furniture scrapes, small leaks, and pet accidents. Replacement makes more sense when damage is widespread, the same failure keeps coming back, or the floor is near the end of its life anyway, because patching a dying floor is money spent twice.

Matching a discontinued plank or blending a stain takes more hunting than installing a new floor does, and we treat that as part of the craft. Book the free estimate and we will tell you straight whether a one-visit repair fixes it or you would be throwing good money after bad.

Our Repair Process

1

Assessment

We inspect the damaged area, identify the cause, and determine whether a repair or partial replacement is the best path forward.

2

Material Matching

We source matching materials (wood species, tile, vinyl planks, or carpet) to ensure the repair blends with your existing floor.

3

Repair Work

We remove the damaged section and install the replacement material with the same techniques used in a full installation, ensuring a solid and lasting fix.

4

Finishing & Inspection

We sand, stain, grout, or seam as needed to blend the repair area. A final walkthrough ensures everything looks and feels right.

Flooring Repairs Questions

Can damaged LVP planks be replaced individually?

Individual LVP planks can be replaced by unclicking the floor back to the damage or, in the middle of a room, cutting the plank out and gluing in a replacement. The real work is matching a plank that may be discontinued, so save a spare box from any install, and if you do not have one we hunt down the closest match before we cut anything.

Can you repair a cracked tile without redoing the whole floor?

A cracked tile can be cut out and replaced individually without disturbing the field around it, as long as matching tile can be found and the crack is not a symptom of subfloor movement. One cracked tile is a repair; a line of cracks across the room means the floor is flexing, and we will tell you which one you have before charging you for either.

Can pet-damaged hardwood be repaired?

Scratched finish buffs out with a recoat, gouged boards can be spliced out and replaced, and deep urine stains usually mean swapping the blackened boards before refinishing the area to blend. We do this blend-and-match work weekly, and the goal is always that you cannot find the repair a month later.

When is a repair not worth it?

A repair stops being worth it when the damage covers a large share of the room, when moisture is still getting in, or when the repair cost approaches what a new floor would run. We price both paths at the estimate when it is close, so you choose with real numbers instead of guesswork.
