Threshing Floors installs waterproof luxury vinyl plank and vinyl flooring across Pennsylvania and New Jersey, ideal for kitchens, baths, basements, and high-traffic rooms. Family-operated since 2011, with free in-home estimates.
Luxury vinyl plank has become the fastest-growing flooring choice for homeowners, and for good reason. LVP delivers the realistic look of hardwood or stone at a fraction of the cost, with built-in waterproof protection that holds up to daily life.
At Threshing Floors, we install LVP and vinyl plank flooring from leading manufacturers. Today's luxury vinyl is engineered with rigid core technology that resists dents, scratches, and temperature changes, making it perfect for busy households with kids and pets. The click-lock installation system allows for faster completion times without sacrificing quality.
Whether you are renovating a single room or outfitting an entire home, our team handles every detail from subfloor preparation through final trim work. We help you select the right plank thickness, wear layer, and texture to match your lifestyle and design vision.
Is LVP the right call for your room?
LVP is the strongest choice for basements, kitchens, laundry rooms, rentals, and homes with pets, because it is fully waterproof, scratch resistant, and faster to install than hardwood or tile. It is the wrong shortcut over a bad subfloor: planks laid on a wavy, soft, or damp floor will separate, click underfoot, and telegraph every imperfection below them.
A lot of our LVP weeks run from a Cherry Hill basement to a shore rental, and the prep is what separates the installs that last from the ones that get callbacks. We check moisture, flatness, and transitions during the free estimate, and if your room would be better served by hardwood or tile, we will say so before a single plank is ordered.

We inspect every detail, clean the work area, and walk you through the simple maintenance steps that keep LVP looking new for years.
LVP / Vinyl Flooring Questions
Can LVP go in a basement?
LVP is one of the best basement floors available because it is fully waterproof and floats over concrete slabs that would ruin hardwood. We moisture-test the slab first and add a vapor barrier when the readings call for it, because even waterproof planks need a dry, flat base to stay locked together.
Is LVP good for homes with pets and kids?
LVP is the most forgiving floor for a busy household because the wear layer shrugs off claws, toys, spills, and sandy shoes, and cleanup is a damp mop instead of a refinish. We will help you pick a wear-layer thickness that matches your traffic instead of just the color you like on the sample board.
Can LVP be installed over tile or my old flooring?
LVP can often float right over existing tile, sheet vinyl, or hardwood if the surface is flat, solid, and the added height still clears doors and appliances. Grout lines deeper than the manufacturer allows get skim-coated first, and we measure all of that during the estimate so you know whether the old floor stays or goes before work begins.
What causes LVP planks to separate?
Plank separation almost always traces back to an uneven subfloor, missing expansion gaps, or big temperature swings, not the planks themselves. It is the most common problem we are called to repair on floors other installers put in, and proper prep plus correct gapping at the walls is how we keep it from happening to yours.
