Hardwood flooring is an investment that pays for itself. Homes with hardwood floors sell faster and command higher prices, making it one of the most reliable upgrades you can make. Beyond resale value, hardwood offers decades of durability when properly installed and maintained, and our expert finishing process protects your floors from day one.

From historic homes in Bucks County to new construction at the Jersey Shore, we have installed hardwood in every type of space. Our process starts with a thorough consultation to help you choose the right wood species, plank width, and finish for your lifestyle and budget.

Solid hardwood, engineered hardwood, or something else?

Solid hardwood is the best fit for dry living spaces, bedrooms, and older homes where long-term refinishing value matters. Engineered hardwood handles wide planks, concrete slabs, and bigger seasonal humidity swings with less movement. LVP is the smarter call in basements, busy rentals, and any room where water resistance outranks true wood feel.

We install all three across Pennsylvania and New Jersey every week, and the right answer depends on your subfloor, your moisture conditions, and how the room actually gets used. That is exactly what we check during the free in-home estimate before we recommend anything.

Our Installation Process

1

Consultation

We visit your home to assess the space, measure rooms, evaluate subfloor conditions, and help you choose the right wood, plank size, and finish.

2

Subfloor Preparation

We level, clean, and prepare the subfloor to ensure a stable foundation. This critical step prevents squeaks, gaps, and premature wear.

3

Installation

Each plank is carefully laid using the appropriate method (nail-down, glue-down, or floating) based on your subfloor type and wood selection.

4

Finishing & Inspection

We apply protective finish coats, inspect every seam and transition, and walk you through care instructions so your floors look stunning for decades.

Hardwood Flooring Questions

Is solid hardwood or engineered hardwood better for my home?

Solid hardwood is usually the better choice for dry rooms over a plywood subfloor where you want the longest refinishing life, while engineered hardwood is the better choice over concrete slabs, in rooms with bigger humidity swings, and for wide planks that need extra stability. In the older homes we work on across PA and NJ, that often means solid hardwood in the living spaces and engineered or LVP at ground level, and we confirm which fits your house during the free estimate.

Can hardwood be installed over my existing floor?

Hardwood can sometimes go over an existing floor if the surface is flat, solid, and low enough that doors and transitions still clear, but most installs turn out better when the old floor comes up first. We check floor height, subfloor condition, and squeaks during the estimate, and if removal is the right call we include it in the quote so there are no surprises.

How long does hardwood installation take?

Most hardwood installations take two to five days depending on square footage, subfloor prep, and whether the wood needs time to acclimate in your home before it goes down. We deliver the wood ahead of the install when acclimation matters and give you a day-by-day plan so you know when each room is back in service.

When should I choose LVP instead of hardwood?

Choose LVP instead of hardwood in basements, bathrooms, wet entryways, and rental units where water resistance and durability matter more than real wood underfoot. We install both every week, so if your room is a bad fit for hardwood we will say so at the estimate and steer you toward what we would put in our own homes.
